제목 Dense 3YSZ Microspheres from Spray-Dried Granules
초록 In general, it is challenging to attain dense granules via spray drying even after heat treatment, which is probably due to the organic components used for preparing initial slurry. In this study, we demonstrated a rational method to produce 3YSZ granules and subsequent highly dense microspheres through appropriate heat treatment. For high density, the initial aqueous suspension contained maximum contents of solid loadings together with minimum amounts of organic additives. The processing parameters were controlled to manipulate structural features (size, sphericity, etc.) of granules. The microspheres heated at 1400 ˚C showed superior micromechanical properties compared to the 3YSZ reported to date. In this talk, we will briefly introduce the stepwise approach for achieving dense microspheres by transforming tailor-made granules. In addition, we will compare the mechanical properties of microspheres depending on the heat-treatment temperature.
