제목 Imparting the flame retardancy to the polymethylsilsesquioxane (PMSQ) aerogel monolith by introducing 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide (DOPO)-derivatives.
초록 In an attempt to improvethe flame retardancy of the PMSQ aerogel, an environmentally friendly flame retardantcompound named DOPO is used and this can be combined with a vinyltrimethylsiloxane(VTMS) agent by 1:1 molar ratio for being a part of PMSQ network. This synthesizedPMSQ aerogel doesn’t only prevent emitting hazardous substances due to the halogen-freeflame-retardant material. DOPO-VTMS can be characterized by 1H, 31PNMR (nuclear magnetic resonance) and DOPO-VTMS PMSQ aerogel can be investigatedby SEM (scanning electron microscope), and BET (Brunauer-Emmett-Teller) to differentiatetwo different aerogels and DOPO-VTMS PMSQ aerogel. Specifically, it is shownthat the thermal stabilities enhanced and the decomposition mechanisms differedby showing each nitrogen and air atmosphere of TGA (thermal gravimetric analysis).The excellent 60% reduction of the heat release rate (HRR) occurred byintroducing DOPO-VTMS in the PMSQ aerogel by analyzing with the microcalorimeters.
