Carbon nanotubes with clay platelets(Cs-CNTs) were formed by collodial dispersion and costacking. Cs-CNTs were enable to decrease the level of aggregation of the CNTs and Clay from their original state and enhanced the dispersion. By the synergistic effects between CNTs and Clay, Cs-CNTs were used as novel nanofillers to improve the mechanical, thermal and electrical properties of a polymer. Cs-CNTs/Styrene Butadiene Rubber were fabricated, and their relative properties were investigated by SEM, Raman Spectroscopy, Rheometer, Instron Tensile machine, Thermal and Electrical conductivity analyzer. In Mechanical properties, the 300%-Modulus of the nanocomposites was sharply increased by 32%, when 10phr Cs-CNTs were added to SBR matrix. The largest the difference electrical conductivity 60 times was obtanied between control and nanocomposites. Also, the thermal conductivity of nanocomposites was higher than any other composites because of improving the dispersion. |
