제목 Reactor polyethylene composites with multi-walled carbon nanotubes using late transition metal catalysts
초록 The unique mechanical and electrical properties of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have attracted an intense attention from both academics and industrials. This presentation shows the capability and advantage of the in situ polymerization of ethylene on multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) as a technique for the preparation of composite materials. The ligands are prepared via silanization of bulky amino substituted ligands and they are attached covalently on the surface of MWCNT. The catalysts are prepared via coordination of these ligands to late transition metals to form carbon nanotube supported late transition metal catalysts. The catalyst showed good polymerization activity in combination with common alkyl aluminum cocatalysts. The obtained polymer composite was characterized by various techniques.
