New generation silicagel supported Ni(II), Co(II) and Fe (II) catalysts are synthesized with various metal loading. All the catalysts showed high activity towards ethylene polymerization when activated with various cocatalysts like methyl aluminoxane, ethyl aluminiumsesquichloride, methyl aliminiumdichloride and diethyl aluminiumchloride. Polymer morphology was drastically changed according to the cocatalysts structure from rod like to spherical polyethylene. Catalysts and polymers were well characterized with existing technologies. |
