The cholesteric nematic liquid crystal (CLC) droplets consisting RMM-727, which contained reactive mesogen (nematic liquid crystal, Merck) and CB15 (chiral dopant, Synthon) were prepared by a microfluidic method with aqueous solutions of polyvinyl alcohol in the continuous phase, which cause parallel anchorings of LC in the droplet. Being radial shape from center, the helical structures were located in droplet. After dye doping, This structures made omni-directional laser by incident laser beam. Additionally, the fixing this structure by reactive mesogen enhanced the durability. This structural change was applied to the holographic display by interfere of omni-directional laser. |
