Ionomers are ion-containing polymers having a small amount (＜ 15 mol %) of ionic groups along nonionic backbone chain. We investigated the effects of the addition crown ether on the dynamic mechanical properties and morphology of poly(styrene-co-styrenesulfonate) (PSSA) ionomers containing potassium, sodium, litium salts. As expected, two loss tangent peaks are seen; the matrix peak at low temperatures and the cluster peak at high temperatures. The presence of well-developed two loss tangent peaks indicates that these ionomers are well clustered. |
