제목 Improving Thermal Stability of CH3NH3PbI3-xClx Perovskite Based on Molecular Additive
초록 Tremendous developments of methylamine lead halide perovskite solar cells have been achieved within just a few years. Its remarkable properties make CH3NH3PbX3 perovskite solar cells of the promising next generation photovoltaics. Although its performance has exceeded over 20%, lack of clear understandings on perovskite solar cells is still a big obstacle. One of the problems is its poor stability. Here, we found that grain boundaries are the dominant region at which the thermal decomposition of perovskite crystals easily occurs. We added a molecular additive to the precursor of perovskite and successfully enhanced the thermal stability of CH3NH3PbI3-xClx crystal. We observed electron transfer reaction between the additive and halides in perovskite and supposed the additive chemically passivates grain boundaries, which prevents perovskite crystal from easily decomposing. Our strategy suggests a simple method to improve the thermal stability of perovskite without any loss.
