Organic phototransistors (OPTs) offer an efficient way for constructing light sensors. The compatibility with plastic substrates and polymer gate dielectrics makes organic electronic devices excellent choice for flexible electronics. As in ambipolar OPTs both hole and electron transport are possible, these devices simplify circuit fabrication. In our research, we fabricated ambipolar phototransistors from a mix solution of C8-BTBT and PTCDI-C5 by a one-dimensional de-wetting method, that allows for the deposition of highly directional single crystal-based active layer on top of solution processable polymer gate dielectric, with ambipolar transfer characteristics. The devices show good photoresponse behavior under conventional light sources. The ease of the fabrication of complimentary inverters has been presented and the static and dynamic properties were evaluated. |
