Mesoporous polymer materials were prepared from micelle/polymer precursors prepared by micelle template method using self-assembled micelle as a porogen. The nanoporous PAN has nearly monodisperse closed pores and the average pore diameter of the nanoporous PAN can be controlled by varying type and concentration of surfactants. In addition, the mesoporous polymer (PAN)/silica hybrid was derived from surfactant/monomer/tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) precursor using surfactant mediated sol-gel method with the concept of “micelle templating”. The pore diameter of mesoporous polymer/silica hybrid can also be tuned by different type and concentration of surfactants. In addition, carbonized hybrid could be applied as electronic capacitor. This methodology can provide a convenient route to synthesize novel mesoporous materials, which encompasses the concept of “micelle as a nanoporogen”. |
