제목 Electrocatalytic Evaluation of Carbon Dots Decorated Spinel NiCo2O4 Nanoneedle Arrays for Hydrogen and Oxygen Evolution Reaction
초록 We have grown the nanoneedle arrays of carbon dot (CD) conjugated NiCo2O4 on nickel foam by hydrothermal self‐assembly method to construct a binder-free electrode with bifunctional electrocatalytic activity for both hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reactions (OER) in an alkaline medium. The findings demonstrated that the optimum loading of CDs displays excellent electrocatalytic performance and durability for HER and OER, which offers a small overpotential of 146 mV at 10 mA/cm2 current density for HER and 390 mV at 50 mA/cm2 for OER in 1.0 M KOH electrolyte. The CD offers abundant active sites into the CD/NiCo2O4 catalyst to enhance electron transfer processes within the hierarchically structured components. Thus, the work represents a simple and productive method for the fabrication of bifunctional electrocatalysts with high efficiency and exceptional durability.
