Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) have been actively developed for decades and are being used nowadays in various applications. However, liquid electrolyte currently used in LIBs has critical drawbacks such as flammability and leakage problem. In this respect, extensive efforts have been devoted to developing polymer electrolytes that exhibit high ionic conductivity and thermal stability. Solid polymer electrolytes have advantages in terms of flexibility, absence of leakage and enhanced safety, however, they exhibit low ionic conductivity at ambient temperature. In our study, quasi-solid-state polymer electrolytes with high ionic conductivity are synthesized by click chemistry and their electrochemical characteristics is investigated for LIB applications. |
