Synthesis of styrene/DVB particle by anionic dispersion polymerization in n-hexane using poly(styrene-b-butadiene) block copolymer as a stabilizer. Herein, hairy particles of highly cross-linked polystyrene/divinylbenzene cores and linear polyisoprene brushes were synthesized. The linear polyisoprene brushes were synthesized by the addition of isoprene to PS/DVB particle anion. After polymerization of polyisoprene, anionic chain ends of polyisoprene were functionalized with 4,4-bis(diethylamino)benzophenone via anionic polymerization and end-capping technique. The characteristic of this amine-Functionalized hairy particles was confirmed by infrared spectroscopy(IR), scanning electron microscope(SEM), gel permeation chromatograph(GPC). |
