Aligned carbon nanofibers (ACNFs) were fabricated by electrospinning method using high speed of rotary collector (2000 rpm). After that, in order to attain synergy effect of electron double layer and redox faradaic reaction, NiCo2O4 was deposited on the surface of ACNFs using electrodeposition method. Among the electrodes, which were deposited for different time (5, 10, 20, and 30 s), 10 s deposited sample had the highest specific capacitance value (90.1 F g-1 at 5 mV s-1), good rate capability (64.7 %), and cycle stability (85.2 % after 1000 cycles). On top of that, in order to probe effect of alignment and redox faradaic reaction of NiCo2O4, ACNFs covered with NiCo2O4 during 10 s (NC-ACNFs) were compared with ACNFs which were deposited by Co3O4 (C-ACNFs) and randomly oriented carbon nanofibers covered with NiCo2O4 (NC-RCNFs). NC-ACNFs had specific capacitance of 18.4 % and 12.5 % higher than that of C-ACNFs and NC-RCNFs, respectively. These results suggested that carbon nanofibers could be improved their electrochemically properties by using effects of aligned nanofibers and redox faradaic reaction of NiCo2O4. |
