Polymer solar cells (PSCs) have attracted considerable attention due to their special advantages such as light weight, flexibility, and low fabrication cost. Recently, the series of poly(thieno[3,4-b]thiophene)benzothiophene (PTB) copolymers composed of thieno[3,4-b]thiophene (TT) and benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b']dithiophene (BDT) segments have been developed for high-efficiency PSCs. However, conventional PTB polymers basically possess regiorandom configuration which could lead to negative effects of physical properties. In this study, we successfully synthesized regioregular polymers (PTB-A) which sulfur atom of TT-one face each other across the BDT-O and regioregular polymer (PTB-B) which sulfur atom of TT-one face each other across the BDT-T. The inverted BHJ PSCs based on PTB-B exhibited a little higher power conversion efficiency (7.98%) than PTB-A (7.67%) because of enhanced Jsc and FF. |
