The use of PLLA is increasing in many other medical fields, such as tissue engineering, wound management, drug delivery systems and orthopedic implants. For the medical applications, degradation control is one of the most important factors and should be studied widely becasue it can be controlled by the molecular weight, microstructure, chemical compositions, processing technologies and degradation products. So, the physical properties such as molecular weight, thermal properties, rheological properties, chemical compositions and the relationship between physical properties were studied using NMR, FTIR, GPC, DSC, TGA, TMA, Rheometer, Glass Capillary Viscometer and Karl Fisher. Crystallization kinetic study and thermal degradation properties were also have been studied. There were good relationships between physical properties of PLLA. |
