In this work, TiO2 spheres prepared at various hydrothermal temperatures have been successfully synthesized. Structural properties of the samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction spectroscopy (XRD), and scanning electronic microscopy (SEM). Textural properties were investigated by N2 adsorption-desorption isotherm at 77 K. It was found that a higher hydrothermal temperature led to an increase in the specific surface area, total pore volume, and the size of mesopores in TiO2 spheres. Photocatalytic activities were evaluated using methylene blue solution under solar light irradiation. Photocatalytic efficiency of TiO2 spheres was improved compared to commercially available TiO2. |
