LOHCs (Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carriers) can store hydrogen more safely and cost-effectively than conventional methods as it is liquid phase under mild conditions. However, additional costs incur for recovering hydrogen from LOHCs and it is required to develop high-performance catalyst to reduce cost. Here, we synthesize Pt/Al2O3 catalyst by controlling metal precursors and its interaction with support materials. Pt clusters were loaded on aluminum oxide with relatively high dispersion, avoiding severe aggregation and nanoparticle formation after calcination. The catalyst is more active and stable to MCH dehydrogenation than the conventional catalyst. These results show the effects of preparation conditions on the local structure of Pt supported on aluminum oxide. |
