제목 | Electrochemical behavior of pitch-based activated carbons for electric double-layer capacitor |
초록 | Inthis study, pitch-based activated carbons (PAC) using steam activation with mesopore-richpore structures were prepared for application as electrodes in electricaldouble-layer capacitors (EDLC). The N2/77K isothermal adsorptioncurve was used to estimate the textural properties of PAC based BET, BJH and NLDFTequations. The structural characteristics of the PAC was observed by XRD andRaman. PAC was prepared under steam activation to find optimal ones, which werethen applied as electrode materials for the EDLC. As a results, the specificsurface area and total pore volume of the PAC were determined to be 670-1940 m2/gand 0.28-1.02 cm3/g, respectively. It was also observed that porestructure was found to be depended on the functions of activation time. Themesoporous structure of PAC resulted in a substantial decrease in the Warburgimpedance as the ion diffusion resistance decreased. The PAC-19 showed thehighest specific surface area and the best capacitive performance. |
