제목 Synthesis of poly(m-PEG methacrylate -co- p-formylphenyl methacrylate) and immobilization of DNA on the glass slide
초록 We have synthesized poly(m-PEG metharylate -co- p-formylphenyl methacrylate) as a matrix for DNA detecting. It was synthesized by using poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether mathacrylate and 4-formylphenyl methacrylate, via radical co-polymerization using AIBN. The FPMA was obtained from the reaction of 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde with methacryloyl chloride in methylene chloride. Random copolymers were used to prepare the polymeric self-assembled monolayers(pSAMs) consisting of two functional parts; the PEG group for reducing the nonspecific binding of DNA and the aldehyde group for interaction with amine-terminated glass surface and DNA. the pSAMs of poly(PEGMA -co-FPMA) were formed on amine-terminated glass, and amine-terminated probe DNAs were immobilized on pSAM surface. Targeted DNAs having fluorescent group were hybridized to the probe DNA. The results were confirmed by measuring fluorescence intensity of the target DNA. In this presentation, we will report the preliminary results.
