Cellulose are major biomolecules and among the most widely employed natural polymers. The potential of cellulose esters has been investigated to confirm cellulose esters as potential biodegradable polymers. Also, poly-3-hydroxybutyric acid (PHB) is biodegradable polymer and conducting materials. Possessing unique structures and properties, carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are attractive building blocks for novel materials and devices of important practical interest. In this paper, the fabrications of regularly ordered structure in the CTA and CTA-PHB-MWNT composite films are reported. The composites were prepared by the dispersion of pretreated MWCNTs into the CTA/PHB solution in chloroform with varying amounts of PHB and MWCNTs. The composite films were characterized and studied for their conductivity behavior. In the presence of PHB and MWCNT to increase the DC conductivity of composite film, varying the wt % of PHB and MWCNT in the range of 10 – 50 %. |
