Amphiphilic copolymers, in which their water solubilities in aqueous environment are sensitive to pH condition, were synthesized. These polymers are consisted with hydrophobic chains in the grafts and hydreophilic cationic polymer units in the backbone. These polymers show unique pH induced solubility changes. The cationic polyelectrolyte units of the polymers played a key role in such transition phenomena. Synthesis, purification and characterization of these polymers will be presented in this paper.
