Synthesis and Characterization of Polyhedral Oligomeric Silsesquioxane (POSS) with Poly(ethylene glycol) Units Through the Hydrosilylation Reaction |
초록 |
Polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) has been incorporated into various polymers to make hybrid materials. POSS has a nano-sized cage structure that can be good candidate for the precise control of nanostructure in hybrid materials. Poly(ethylene glycol)-based electrolyte has been popular for lithium ion polymer electrolyte application. Octakis(hydrido)octasilsesquioxanes (POSS-H) was synthesized by the hydrolysis and condensation reaction of trichlorosilane. PEG350 was reacted with acryloyl chloride under triethylamine catalyst to make PEG350 with double bond. POSS with poly(ethylene glycol) units was fabricated by the reaction of POSS-H and PEG350 modified with acryloyl chloride via the hydrosilylation reaction using Pt catalyst. POSS with poly(ethylene glycol) units was characterized by Si, H-NMR, DSC, and TGA. |
