제목 Effect of Surface Treatment on Thermal Properties and Oxidation Resistance of Silicon Carbides Pitch-Coated Composites
초록 In this work, the effect of interaction when acid treated silicon carbides and carbonized pitch carbon were formed mixture by coating focus on the thermal stability and oxidation resistance of carbonized pitch coated-silicon carbide composites was investigated. The morphology of the carbonized pitch coated-silicon carbide composites was observed by a scanning electron microscope (SEM), and the surface properties of the coated-silicon carbides were determined by acid and base values, energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), and x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). In addition, the thermal stability and oxidation resistance of the composites were investigated by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). From the results, it is clear that surface treatment of silicon carbide played an important role in improving the oxidation resistance, thermal properties of the composites.
