The effect of HMX surface morphology by cooling crystallization |

Recently explosive is used extensively for both civilian and military application. But the control methods of explosive follow a number of restrictions and handling is very difficult. A Sensitive explosive can be happened like unintended explosion. Therefore the sufficient stability of explosive must be supported for using more comfortable way. A sensitive explosive was coated with a less sensitive explosive in order to improve stability while maintain explosion performance. The aim of this study is to examine how a crystalline coating can be formed by crystallization and how operating conditions affect the surface morphology and the crystal growth rate of the HMX coating. |
