Water pollution caused by pharmaceutical residues are being considered as a serious environmental problem. Conventional water treatment methods is ineffectual to remove pharmaceutical residues in water. However, there are pharmaceutical residues that cannot be decomposed by this methods. In this study, the compounds which were difficult to decompose were treated by capillary discharge. Through this method, the ability to decompose of pharmaceutical residues and purify is confirmed and we would like to mention the advantages of underwater plasma discharge treatment and the possibility to be used in difficult to decompose pharmaceutical compounds. |
