제목 Preparation of electrospun composite fibers containing quantum dots
초록 In this work, ultrafine fibers of poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) were fabricated via electrospinning method, and then they were adopted as optical waveguide materials. In order to enhance mode excitation efficiency, CdSe/ZnS quantum dots were incorporated into PMMA, which is the core material for the waveguide. The spinning solution was prepared by dissolving quantum dots and PMMA in chloroform. The core-shell structured PMMA/PVDF ultrafine fibers were formed via facile one-step electrospinning method by using two concentric needles. The uniform morphology of PMMA/PVDF ultrafine fibers was confirmed by FE-scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Dispersion of quantum dots in PMMA ultrafine fiber was confirmed via confocal laser scanning microscope.
