제목 Highly Sensitive Biohybrid SERS Nanoprobes with Clustered Silver Nanoparticles
초록 Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) has evolved to be an ultra-sensitive optical detection technique down to single molecular sensing and imaging. A new class of SERS nanoprobes was synthesized for highly sensitive detection of biological moieties. SERS signal was amplified through Raman dye induced aggregation of silver nanoparticles. The clustered silver nanoparticles were encapsulated in the chemically-stabilized polymeric particles composed of poly(acrylamide-co-acrylic acid)s via electrohydrodynamic jetting. These SERS nanoprobes were stable under severe chemical environments and their SERS intensity was largely controlled by density of the clustered silver nanoparticles within the polymeric particles. A number of biological moieties were introduced on the surface of the SERS nanoprobes for detection. Controllable SERS intensity, high sensitivity, chemical stability, biocompatibility and reproducibility make the biohybrid SERS nanoprobes useful for bioimaging applications.
