We have designed and synthesized a series of dendritic porphyrins ([CO2H]16-G2PZn, [CO2H]4-G2PZn, [CO2H]8-G1PZn, [CO2H]2-G1PZn, [CO2H]1-G1PZn) as photosensitizers of dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSc). Dendritic porphyrins have different number of carboxyl groups at the surface of dendritic wedge . We have investigated the effect of dendritic ligands on power conversion efficiency of DSSc. Under AM 1.5G solar conditions, we found that the power conversion efficiency of [CO2H]8-G1PZn was increased by ca. 4 times than those of other dendritic porphyrins. Herein, we report on the photovoltaic performance of DSSc using dendritic porphyrin sensitizers. |
