Thermal conductivity of nitride based-ceramic polyamide composites |

Thermally conductivity of the nitride filled polyamide 66 (PA66) composites were investigated. The boron nitride (BN) and aluminum nitride (AlN) fillers were melt-mixed with PA66 as matrix. Synergistic effects on thermal conductivity (k) found, by addition of fillers in hybrid manner. The highest thermal conductivity of composites was 6.00 W/m•K. Besides, the effect of addition of copper particles to PA66/AlN/BN composites, on thermal and electrical conductivities of composites studied. The thermal conductivity enhanced up to 7.55 W/m•K with small addition of copper particles, with maintainly the electrical insulating properties. |
