제목 A study on thermal decomposition behavior of residual oils over metal oxide catalysts
초록 Atmospheric- and vacuum distilled-oil in the petroleum-refining process can be converted into valuable lighter fuels using the conventional methods such as thermal cracking, catalytic cracking and hydrocraking. But, these methods result in large quantities of coke in reactors and on catalysts, hence lead to the plugging of the reactors and rapid deactivation of the catalysts. Residual oils can be cracked at a high hydrogen pressure to reduce the coke formation. However, in this study, feasibility of catalytic cracking was investigated through thermal decomposition behavior of residual oils on metal oxide catalysts which prepared on silicate as a support using glycine-nitrate combustion method.
