Study of the surface modification of anisotropic gold nanoparticle for biosensor application |

Polyelectrolyte multilayers (PEMs) became very powerful method and have been applied in many applications. Recent studies in PEMs are more focusing in hybrid nano-composite. Here, we report polyelectrolyte multilayer films used for the coating on gold nanoparticles (AuNP). Because the optical properties of AuNP are of great interest for nano-scale science and practical sensing applications, it is required to introduce functional groups on the AuNP surface. The fabrication of three-dimensional arrays of AuNP on flat substrates can be employed to tune and manipulate their optical properties. This also allows for characterization using surface sensitive spectroscopic and microscopic analytical methods. The first and foremost task is to optimize the PEM film coating conditions for Au colloids. We explored various polyelectrolyte concentration and pH of dipping solutions. We also studied to detect bio-molecule using SPR measurement. |
