Effect of annealing condition on the efficiency of organic solar cell based on P3HT and PCBM blend |

Recently organic solar cell with bulk heterojunction structure attracted intention due to its’ low manufacturing cost and relatively high efficiency. In this paper organic solar cell based on P3HT (poly(3-hexylthiophene)) and PCBM (1-(3-methoxycarbonyl)-propyl-1-phenyl-(6,6) C61) blend was studied and the device structure is as follows. PEDOT:PSS layer of 40 nm thickness is spin-coated on patterned ITO glass substrate. P3HT and PCBM are dissolved in chlorobenzene and the solution is spin-coated to form the photoactive layer of 120 nm thickness. 100 nm Al layer is deposited on top of the organic layers by thermal evaporation and used as a top electrode. The efficiency was measured under AM1.5G condition with changes in annealing time and temperature. Optimum result is obtained at 110℃ and 20 minute condition. |
