제목 Multi-metal cyanide complex catalyzed ultra-low and functional polyols
초록 Multi-metal cyanide (MMC) compounds representing structures based on a simple cubic M[M’(CN)6] framework, in which octahedral [M’(CN)6]n- complexes are linked via octahedrally coordinated, nitrogen-bound Mn+ ions are well-known catalyst for the polymerization of epoxides and the synthesis of propylene oxide (PO) based polyether polyols (PPG) which are used for polyurethane applications. The resulting catalysts are versatile in that they show very high activity in epoxides/carbon dioxide copolymerizations give polyols with aliphatic carbonate backbones and epoxides/acid anhydride copolymerizations to give polyols with ester backbones as well as epoxide homopolymerizations to give typical polyether polyols. Here we present developments of multimetal cyanide catalyzed (co)polymerizations of epoxides and future outlook.
