Enabling a quasi solid-solid direct conversion reaction by modifying the interfaces of cathode for advanced Lithium-Sulfur batteries |
초록 |
Here, we report a new approach to enhance the cycle performance of lithium-sulfur batteries (LSB) by designing cathode's surface and solvation structure. This work achieved a single potential plateau under fast charge and discharge cycle test by developing a hierarchical structure of carbon-sulfur composites and modifying optimal solvation structure of electrolytes. The modification of cathode interfaces lead to the quasi-solid state conversion reaction different from a conventional reaction pathway, producing soluble lithium polysulfides. The designed electrified interface maximized electrochemical charge-discharge reversibility by suppressing the irreversible electrochemical reaction. |
