The important properties of photopolymer films are transparency and shrinkage of film upon post exposure. To obtain high DE value, transparencies of films are a prerequisite. Low shrinkage of film upon curing at post exposure is also important to obtain securely photo-recorded films. In our previous research, we have used PVA with high molecular weights. DE’s as high as 80% with energetic sensitivity of 0.7mW/cm2 have been obtained in the photopolymer films. But, the films have not been clear and have been shrunk upon post exposure. PVA molecular weights of photopolymer films have been dropped from 89,000 to 13,000 in order to improve transparency and reduce shrinkage. |
