Preparation of polymer brush by self-assembled secondary monolayer on PVA/chitosan film |

Foul-release coatings inhibit marine organism adhesion compare to Anti Fouling coating included biocides and they provide a surface from which adhered marine organism can be easily released, either by the hydrodynamic forces created as a vessel moves through the water. In this study, Preparation of polymer brush by self-assembled secondary monolayer on poly vinyl alcohol /chitosan film and make a hydrophilic and amphiphilic surface. FT-IR (ATR) characterized show the surface modified with poly ethylene glycol and taurine. It also confirmed through measured the static contact angle and time dependent changed contact angle. |
