Vertical and central self-alignment of organic semiconductor in printed organic semiconductor/dielectric polymer blends for high-performance organic field-effect transistors |

In the field of organic electronics, organic semiconductor/dielectric polymer blends offer a promising method for tuning the solution-processibility, modifying the semiconductor interface, and improving the mechanical property. Vertically phase-separated bilayer structure has especially received special attention as a facile method to form the semiconductor and dielectric layer at one-step go in organic field-effect transistor. Here we demonstrated a vertically phase-separated organic semiconductor (top) / dielectric polymer (bottom) bilayer structure via one-step printing process for high-performance organic field-effect transistors. Key feature of our process is that organic semiconductors in the printed organic semiconductor/dielectric polymer blends vertically and centrally self-align in the printed line and form a highly crystalline structure. The phase-separation behavior in printed blends pattern was successfully controlled by varying the ink formulations. |
