제목 | A NEW TYPE LITHIUM ION CAPACITOR WITH HYBRID CARBON NANO-MATERIALS |
초록 | Lithium ion capacitors (LIC) have been widely developed to realize high power and energy density application. LICs consist of an activated carbon cathode (positive electrode) and a carbonaceous lithium-intercalating anode (negative electrode) which enables flat discharge profile allowing higher utilization of the cathode within an expanded voltage window. The conventional graphite anode materials suffer from slow Li ion intercalation kinetics. A new hybrid carbon materials have been developed to improve the rate-capability while maintaining a high capacity of the graphite anode material. In this study, we developed a three-dimensional expended graphite-CNT hybrid material by vertically growing carbon nanotubes on a graphite base material. The electrode composed of hybrid carbon nano-materials improves Li ion and electron transport than that of graphite materials, which leads a higher capacity and a more reduced over-potential at a high C-rate condition. |
