2D material is one of the most popular materials because it has unique properties compared to a bulk counterpart. Among promising 2D materials, graphene has been widely utilized in many applications harnessed by its attractive electrical properties, high thermal conductivity, and mechanical, chemical stability. Liquid phase exfoliation (LPE), a typical 2D material production process, allows a simple and scalable production of graphene. However, it suffers from a long processing time, low yield, and defect formation. With the aim of overcoming these challenges, in this study, we introduce a fluidic liquid-phase exfoliation (FLPE) method, designed to promote cavitation effects and prevent the settlement of large graphite flakes during the exfoliation process. Using the FLPE in NMP solvent, we can achieve the production of high-quality graphene with about 5 % yield and a high concentration of 2.2mg/ml after 1hour exfoliation. |
