Recentry, the search for polymers derived from biomass is actively studied to solve the problems of fossil materials, such as rising prices of oil, CO2 and waste generated in the manufacturing process. In this study, we synthesized polyester derived from biomass to replace polyester made from fossil materials. Furan-2,5-dicarboxylic acid[FDCA] was synthesized by KMnO4 oxidation of2,5-Dihydroxymethylfuran[DHMF] derived from biomass. And polyester were synthesized by esterification and polycondensation of FDCA and various Diols. The structure and composition, thermal and mechanical properties of polyesters were characterized using 1H-NMR,FT-IR,DSC,TGA, andUTM. |
