제목 Minimum Ion Concentration of Waterborne Polyurethane
초록 The optimal ion concentration of waterborne polyurethane(WPU) is important factor in determining the physical properties and the storage stability. As the content of hydrophilic groups increases, the storage stability increases while the physical property decreases. In this experiment, we investigated to maintain balance of the storage stability and the physical property. Therefore, we used polyethylene glycol(PEG) as hydrophilic polyol for preparation of minimum ion concentration of WPU, WPU was designed with ionic groups in soft segments for improvement of chain flexibility. Consequently, It showed lower solution viscosity and smaller particle size. Particle size, solution viscosity, and dispersion viscosity were measured for investigating storage stability. The tests of water swell and contact angle were carried out for verifying hydrophilicity of WPU film.
