제목 Thermochromic Reversibility of Ultrasensitive PolydiacetyleneSupramolecules
초록 In this study, we have investigated thermochromic properties of conjugated polydiacetylene (PDA) supramolecules derived from lithium salt of 10,12-pentacosadiynoic acid (PCDA). A clear solution was obtained when a mixed aqueous solution containing PCDA and aqueous solution of lithium acetate was heated to 60 oC. Upon cooling to room temperature, white solid precipitates formed from the solution. The synthesized Li-PCDA was extremely sensitive to UV irradiation. Thus, the blue colored PDA was readily prepared with just one second of UV irradiation (254 nm, 1 mJ/cm2). Interestingly, the PDA supramolecules obtained from Li-PCDA exhibit reversible thermochromism. The irradiated blue film became red on heating, and returned to the original blue color upon removal of the heat source.
