We have developed new photopolymer systems without photoinitiators based on the photo-dimerization reaction with cinnamic group, which are expected to solve the problems for improving the thermal resistance and transparency of the LCD color filter resist. To improve their photo-cure properties, the longer wavelength absorptions of color filter resist were needed for mercury lamp as light source. In this study, photo-cure properties of biphenyl type photo-prepolymer with different cinnamic group were investigated according to the change of light power intensity and time. To evaluate the thermal stability of these materials, we measured thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA) of them and UV-visible spectra of them before and after high temperature were compared. We also investigated the photo-cure properties of these materials according to the change of substituent of cinnamic group using the n-th order kinetic model. |
