Through the fascinating optical and electrical properties of Si-quantum dots (Si-QDs), Si-QDs have received intensive academic interests. While, Si-QDs have been prepared by the expensive top-down processes based on the Si-etching chemistry in the previous research, recent reports on the bottom-up preparation of Si-QDs are very promising for the mass production and utilization of Si-QDs in many applications. In our study, highly soluble and fluorescent Si-QDs are prepared by simple bottom-up approaches in non-harsh condition based on both organo silanes and monosaccharides. Prepared Si-QDs are very stable even under prolonged exposure to ambient condition and exhibits unique optoelectrical properties. 2016년 한국교통대학교 지원을 받아 수행하였음. |
