In vitro degradation and cytotoxicity of Biodegradable Elastic Poly(glycolide-co-L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone)(PGLCL) for Mechano-Active Tissue Engineering. |
초록 |
There have been lots of studies on biodegradable aliphatic polyesters which have proper degradability and mechanical properties for tissue engineering applications. We synthesized new series of tri-component copolymers by ring opening copolymerization of cyclic lactons, i.s. glycolide, L-Lactide and ε-caprolactone, in the presence of stannous octoate as a catalyst. In this study, we determinded the biodegradability and cytotoxicity of PGLCL copolymers, we performed in vitro degradation tests in PBS for 12 weeks and observed changes of molecular weight, gross weight and compositions. And we also studied cytotoxicity by WST assay. The results suggest principles that could be controlled by changing the monomer content thus increasing the range of applications to mechano-active tissue engineering depending on demands in mechanical properties. And the PGLCL doesn’t have cytotoxicity with L929 fibroblasts. |
