The hyperbranched conjugated polyelectrolyte based fluorescent sensors for highly selective detection of cyanide in water |
초록 |
There is a growing interest in the design and development of chemosensors for selective detection of various anions. Among them, cyanide is one of the most concerning anions in the environment. Sensors for cyanide detection are particularly important due to cyanide poisoning which leading to fall senseless, decreased blood pressure and eventual death. Therefore many methods for cyanide detection have been reported. One of the common approaches involves the complexation of free cyanide with boronic acid derivatives to generate the sensory signals. We used hyperbranched conjugated polymer (HCP) containing a number of boronic acid groups for cyanide anion sensing at the branch terminal. HCP fluorescence intensity is completely reduced by the addition of benzyl viologen. The quenched fluorescence of HCP is revived by adding cyanide anion due to the interruption of electrostatic interaction between negatively-charged HCP and positively-charged benzyl viologen. |
