Cyanide-selective “Turn On” fluorescent chemosensor based on hyperbranched conjugated polyelectrolyte containing boronic acid groups |
초록 |
There is a growing interest in the development of chemosensors for selective detection of various anions. Among them, cyanide ion is well-known to be acutely toxic to mammals. Due to cyanide poisoning, leading to fall senseless and eventual death. Thus, sensors for cyanide ion detection are particularly important. Therefore many methods for cyanide ion detection have been reported. One of the common approaches involves the complexation of free cyanide with boronic acid derivatives to generate the sensory signals. We used hyperbranched conjugated polymer (HP) containing a number of boronic acid groups for cyanide anion sensing at the branch terminal. HP fluorescence intensity is completely reduced by the addition of benzyl viologen. The quenched fluorescence of HP exhibited a significant fluorescence enhancement upon the addition of cyanide anion owing to the interruption of electrostatic interaction between negatively-charged HP and positively-charged benzyl viologen. |
