| 제목 | The blend of surface treated PET fiber/PP with compatibilizer |
| 초록 | In general, PET fibers have no functional group on the surface. Thus there was no effect of adding reactive compatibilizers in PP/PET fiber blend systems. In this study, hydrophilic groups for a good interaction with compatibilizer were introduced on the PET fiber surface by treating the surface in NaOH solution. The generation of hydrophilic groups on the fiber surface was confirmed by FT-IR. The surface treated PET fiber/PP blend was prepared in the presence of compatibilizer by using a Brabender mixer or twin screw extruder. The compatibility of the blend was investigated by SEM and DSC and the mechanical properties of the blend such as tensile strength, elongation and impact strength were also studied. |
