New fluorene-based red light-emitting polymers were simply synthesized from nickel-catalyzed Yamamoto coupling reaction of 2,7-dibromo-9,9-bis-2-ethylhexylfluorene with a new comonomer. The polymers were well characterized by UV-vis spectra, photoluminescence and electroluminescence spectra 1H- and 13C-NMR, elemental analysis, and TGA. The polymers were soluble in common organic solvents such as chloroform, tetrahydrofuran, toluene, etc., and thin films were fabricated by spin-casting from organic solvent for PL and EL. The polymer films were spin casted onto quarz plate.for PL and EL device structure was ITO/PEDOT-PSS/polymer/LiF/Al. In this presentation, we report new fluorene-based red-light-emitting polymers through energy transfer mechanism. |
